Community - 2007

2007 United Way Day of Caring

For the 2007 project, Neosource again closed its doors and sent all its employees (plus 1 extra family volunteer!) to spiffy up and enhance the hallways and game room of the Salvation Army Boys/Girls Community Center.

The Mabee Red Shield Center, under the direction of Unit Director Jerome Smith, provides an abundance of youth activities (certainly more than we ever realized!). The Center fields 19 different football teams each requiring 6 volunteer coaches/team. That's 114 volunteer coaches!

Our crew had a great time cleaning, sanding, priming and painting the hallways, ceiling, divider wall concrete railings, support beams and walls. Dee Dee and Realissa kindly provided a great luncheon, and excellent company.

It continues to be a privilege and an emotional inspiration to help our Tulsa area community. All of us learned a lot of what the Salvation Army provides by helping us to grow, learn and help others.

Neosource especially recognizes the anniversary of September 11, 2001 and encourages all of us to use our many blessings, skills and gifts to support our community. Neosource also recognizes the Bank of Oklahoma for providing Loaned Executives from their workforce. BOK's Melissa Dickey visited our Day of Caring project and provided inspiration for the work being performed.
